Where to Bet on Harness Racing

Track, licensed OTB, or an ADW that lists Meadowlands and Yonkers. Three brands we can verify. Availability is a state question.

Last checked October 9, 2026. Comparison only. We do not open accounts or hold deposits.

Online

Advance-deposit wagering — legal ADWs, not anonymous books. Availability is a state question: use each book's own geo check before you fund.

We feature three operators we can document and that carry live harness: TwinSpires first, then AmWager, then Iron Bets Racing. Offers, takeout, and state maps move.

Other licensed ADWs exist. This table is the three we feature, not a full industry directory.

At the track

Cash, a teller who has seen every ticket, and the sound of the bike coming off the last turn.

Betting windows

Win, place, show, exactas, trifectas, and the rest of the menu the track posts. Tellers will walk a first-timer through a ticket if you ask.

Apps on site

Plenty of plants now run free Wi-Fi and a house app so you can bet from a seat. That app is usually geo-fenced to the property or the state. It is not a national sportsbook.

At an OTB

A licensed off-track parlor or teletheater. Simulcast, tellers, and a card that is not always the same as a national ADW app.

Especially in New York, a lot of harness tickets are still written at regional OTB branches — not at Yonkers, and not on a phone. Menus and age rules vary by corporation.

The directory starts with New York corporation hubs. We will not scrape every branch into a table that goes stale by Thursday.

The three we feature

Partner ADWs, in order

TwinSpires is the primary partner. AmWager and Iron Bets Racing follow. Licensing notes come from operator license pages, state commission lists, and each book's own harness menu. Confirm signals and your state on the operator site before you send a dollar.

TwinSpires

Primary partner

TwinSpires

Best for: The broad U.S. harness menu from Churchill Downs' long-running ADW

Visit site →

Churchill Downs' ADW. Publishes a dedicated harness desk.

Churchill Downs — TwinSpires / Churchill Downs Technology Initiative Company

Harness coverage

TwinSpires' own harness pages name Meadowlands, Yonkers, The Meadows, Northfield Park, and they speak of European signals (Sweden). Confirm tonight's card in the app before you write the ticket.

Licensing & geo

A licensed U.S. ADW. The Indiana Horse Racing Commission still listed Churchill Downs Technology Initiative Company d/b/a TwinSpires as a secondary pari-mutuel organization on its July 17, 2026 SPMO roster.

Legal in many U.S. states, not all. New Jersey runs its own account-wagering regime. Run TwinSpires' eligibility check the day you fund.

Check first: State eligibility, live harness signals, and any takeout or promo language on twinspires.com. Offers move. We do not open the account for you.

AmWager

Also featured

AmWager

Best for: Tooling-heavy players who want standardbred plus a large international card

Visit site →

U.S. ADW since 2009. Tools-first shop that cards harness as a main signal.

AmWest Entertainment LLC — Prospect, Kentucky

Harness coverage

AmWest says it will not refuse content it can legally carry. The operator's published harness column includes Meadowlands, Yonkers, Woodbine Mohawk Park, Scioto Downs, MGM Northfield Park, Dayton, Dover, Freehold, Harrington, Monticello, Plainridge, Pocono, Rosecroft, Saratoga harness, Western Fair, Flamboro, Grand River, and Rideau Carleton. Their FAQ speaks of 490-plus tracks across thoroughbred, standardbred, quarter horse, and greyhound. That is a catalog, not tonight's menu — confirm the live standardbred signals in-app.

Licensing & geo

AmWest is licensed and regulated by the Oregon Racing Commission as a multi-jurisdictional account-wagering provider. The operator also posts separate state licenses where required — California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, New York, North Dakota, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming among them. Indiana's July 2026 SPMO list names AmWest Entertainment LLC d/b/a AmWager. The operator says customer funds sit in FDIC-insured custodial accounts monitored by the Oregon commission; that is their claim, not a promise from this site.

Extra state licenses still matter, and so do the states that stay closed. Use AmWager's own geo check.

Check first: Your state, the live harness card, and the license page at amwager.com/license-and-regulatory-info. We do not claim every U.S. harness signal.

Iron Bets Racing

Also featured

Iron Bets Racing

Best for: A newer ADW that actually publishes a North American harness column

Visit site →

Newer legal U.S. ADW. Published North American harness menu from Meadowlands through Mohawk.

Lien Games Racing, LLC — North Dakota ADW service provider

Harness coverage

Iron Bets' published North American harness list includes Meadowlands, Yonkers, Woodbine Mohawk Park, Hoosier, Scioto Downs, The Meadows, Northfield Park, Tioga, Vernon, Saratoga harness, Batavia, Buffalo, Freehold, Harrington, Plainridge, Pocono, and a long Canadian tail. Marketing track lists lag closures and renames. Confirm the live card on their site or at app.ironbetsracing.com before you treat a plant as available.

Licensing & geo

The operator's help center says the book is licensed in North Dakota and can take accounts from 30 states. The North Dakota Racing Commission lists Lien Games Racing, LLC as an ADW service provider, with ironbetsracing.com among the branded sites on that license. Indiana's July 2026 SPMO roster names Lien Games Racing LLC with Iron Bets Racing as an affiliate. That is a regulator list, not a national welcome mat.

Markets roughly 30 states; the FAQ and homepage have not always named the same set. California residents, they say, can currently wager harness and quarter horse; Louisiana residents, they say, in-state tracks only. Run their eligibility check.

Check first: State eligibility, the California and Louisiana notes if they apply, and tonight's harness signals on ironbetsracing.com.

Shown for comparison. Offers, takeout, and state maps change. Always verify on the operator site. We do not open accounts or hold deposits.

Other licensed U.S. ADWs exist — FanDuel Racing and TVG, 4NJBets for many New Jersey residents. We do not feature them here.

State and country caveats

Online horse betting is a patchwork. Some states allow several ADWs; some allow one; some allow none. We will not freeze an open or closed Texas sentence. Run the operator's eligibility check the day you fund.

New Jersey keeps account wagering on its own statute.

We do not list invented brands or anonymous offshore books. If a name is missing from the featured set, we are not featuring it.

Betting is optional entertainment. You have to be of legal age in your jurisdiction — 18 in many U.S. racing states, 21 in others. If it stops being optional, stop. U.S. help: 1-800-GAMBLER and ncpgambling.org.
